The Minute Professor series challenges Ohio State researchers to explain their expertise in under a minute. The concept came from my colleague Monica DeMeglio, who was inspired by a live event where researchers had to simplify their work on the spot. The result was a fun, binge-worthy YouTube series that makes complex topics approachable and positions Ohio State as a hub of expertise and creativity.
In the featured episode, “Spoiled Milk,” Professor Brian Roe explains what food expiration labels really mean. The series went on to earn a Gold CASE Award in 2019 for Best Video Feature – Short.
