For this research-focused explainer video, I developed a motion graphic that visualizes how mushrooms affect the brain to produce a “trippy” reaction. Working closely with a staff writer, I created a storyboard to map out each scene and sequence. From there, I built a scratch track and animatic to demonstrate the pacing and flow before moving into illustration and animation. The final piece combined clear storytelling with vibrant visuals to make a complex scientific concept both accessible and engaging.
